Glow Line for massage therapists

You cannot answer a phone with oiled hands and a client face-down. Glow Line answers with your treatment list and hours, takes a name, mobile and preferred time, and sends it to you after the session ends.

Incoming call, Tuesday 10:25 am

  1. My lower back has gone. Can I get a remedial massage as soon as possible?
  2. Thanks for calling Northside Remedial. Sorry to hear that. A 60-minute remedial massage is $105. I cannot see the book, but I can request the soonest time.
  3. Please. Do you do health fund rebates?
  4. Health fund rebates are available on remedial treatments. What is your name and mobile? The therapist will text you a time.

Booking request Sent to the clinic with his name, mobile and a request for the soonest time.

What gets in the way for massage therapists

Sixty quiet minutes, then the phone

A solo therapist with a phone on silent comes out to three missed calls and no idea which were new clients. With the line, each one is a text.

Remedial versus relaxation

Callers ask what kind of massage you do and whether you offer health fund rebates. List the treatments and write the rebate position in notes.

Same-day requests

People in pain want today. The assistant cannot see your book, but it takes the request, and you reply from the next gap.

A worked example

Massage therapist work, with Glow Line

Northside Remedial is a one-therapist clinic in a shared health building. The menu lists remedial massage at 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes, pregnancy massage at 60, and relaxation massage at 60 and 90, each with a price. Notes say that health fund rebates are available on remedial treatments, that there is parking behind the building, and that new clients should arrive ten minutes early.

Between sessions the therapist reads two texts. One is a booking request from a man with lower back pain asking for 60 minutes remedial as soon as possible, with his mobile. The other is a message from a regular asking to move Friday to the following week. Both are on the Bookings page. He texts the first a 2pm tomorrow and the second a new Friday time.

Questions from massage therapists

Can it tell callers about health fund rebates?

If you write your position in notes, yes. It will not say anything about rebates that you did not write.

Can I turn the divert off on my day off?

Yes. Dial the off code the dashboard shows. Or leave it on and let the assistant take requests for your working days.

Is Free useful for a solo therapist?

The booking page is a good link for your social bio and your voicemail. The line is for when missed calls are costing you clients.

Give the phone to someone who only says what you told them

Set up your services and hours, share the booking page, and add the line when you are ready. Free costs no card, only a marketing consent.
